Musser's fiancée, Paige Press, confirmed the actor's death in a series of posts shared to Instagram on Saturday
Alec Musser's cause of death has been determined.
Musser was found by his fiancée Paige Press at their home in Del Mar, California. According to a press release, Press knew him to be alive before she went to bed last Friday and found him the next morning "slumped forward on the bathroom floor" with a firearm identified as a shotgun nearby.
When law enforcement and paramedics arrived on the scene, Musser was confirmed to deceased and his official cause of death is listed as a suicide. He was 50.
On Saturday, Press confirmed Musser's death in a post shared to her Instagram Story.
"RIP to the love of my life," She wrote of Musser in the post, which included several photos in the carousel. "I will never stop loving you. My heart is broken."
"Today is the worst day of my life. We were so happy," she continued in another story slide.
Press went on to address Musser directly, writing, "You were the best fiancé I could of ever asked for."
Musser was best known for playing Del Henry on the ABC soap opera All My Children from 2005 to 2007. He also appeared on Rita Rocks and the TV movie Road to the Altar in 2009, and on ABC's Desperate Housewives in 2011.
Sharing moments from their 2010 comedy Grown Ups, Sandler, 57, wrote: "I loved this guy. Cannot believe he is gone. Such a wonderful, funny good man. Thinking of Alec Musser and his family and sending all my love. A true great sweetheart of a person."

Hayek Pinault, 57, shared the scene in question to her Instagram page Monday "in loving memory of Alec Musser."
"He was so kind professional and absolutely hilarious. His early departure breaks my heart. I feel so blessed that I got to meet him," she wrote.
She added, "My sincere condolences to his family and loved ones for this great loss. 🖤"
