Chris Evans calls Mike Pence a 'obsequious little worm'

Chris Evans is the latest in Hollywood to get political about the current presidency's plea for billions in return for a boarder wall.

The "Captain America" actor tweeted out his reaction on Tuesday after watching a clip from the "Today" show of Vice President, Mike Pence being interviewed.

The journalist asked "which former presidents told President Trump,as he said, that he should’ve built a wall? All their representatives have denied that that was the case.”

Pence vaguely responded, “I know the President has said that that was his impression…I know I’ve seen clips of previous Presidents talking about the importance of border security, the importance of addressing the issue of illegal immigration….Honestly, the American people want us to address this issue.”

Not only did Evans criticize the VP's ambiguous response in an effort to "sanitize Trump's lies," but he also requested that American journalist need to harden up and not be to delicate when it comes to asking these crucial questions.

"Wow. @VP is an obsequious little worm desperately trying to sanitize Trump’s lies. He has no shame. Keep tap dancing you fool. We all see you," the 37-year-old actor tweeted.

"Also, this line of questioning was way too soft. The volume of misinformation coming out of the White House is staggering. Without hard questioning when given the chance, the lying becomes normalized. American journalists need to find their courage," he continued.
