Chris Evans hasn't called his twin babies Ping and Pong
Chris Evans and his wife Natasha Shishmanian are celebrating the birth of their twins, but have caused a bit of confusion over what the babies will be called.
The boy and girl were born on Wednesday night, Evans confirmed in a statement.
He also revealed the nicknames he and his wife have given the unnamed newborns: Ping and Pong.
Last week, Evans said Ping and Pong were a “working title” for his babies, and that he was considering using them as middle names.
He told Janet Jackson, a guest on his Breakfast Show: “We call them Ping and Pong because they are the unborns. We have a working title.”
He added: “It’s so cute I want to keep them as the names Ping and Pong.”
But a number of people seem to think that these are the twins’ official names – and not everyone was particularly impressed.
Can't stop thinking about Chris Evans calling his twins Ping and Pong. Not sure I can concentrate on work, may have to go home

For anyone who doesn’t listen to Evans’ show, it’s not too difficult to see where the confusion arose.
While most news stories did point out that Ping and Pong were temporary nicknames, a few headline failed to make this completely clear.
Evans and Shishmanian married in 2007. As well as the twins, they also have sons Noah, nine, and six-year-old Eli.
