Chris Evans sporting that iconic cable-knit sweater was one of the many highlights of Knives Out — but don't count on seeing him in one again.
Despite his character Ransom's sartorial choice getting widespread attention, the Marvel actor has admitted that he "can't wear" jumpers like that anymore — and we are gutted, frankly.
"I can't wear it anymore," he said on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
"It's a shame. I love cable-knits, but now when I wear them I feel like people are like [rolling their eyes]. I don't know if it works anymore.
"I love that sweater," Evans added. "I love those sweaters. I love cable knits. It's my favourite thing about winter."
Alongside Evans, the acclaimed murder mystery also boasted a stellar cast including Daniel Craig, Ana de Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis, Christopher Plummer, Toni Colette and Michael Shannon.
The movie is set to get a follow-up, with director Rian Johnson focusing on a new murder mystery to be solved by Craig's Benoit Blanc.
"It's going to be Daniel playing Benoit Blanc, the detective," he explained. "Other than that, all bets are off. It's a totally new cast."
While the new cast hasn't been confirmed yet, the director did joke: "I want everybody! Just point. Throw a rock on this red carpet and you'll hit someone that I want in the movie."
