Chris Hemsworth has been hyping the talents ‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron’s’ writer and director Joss Whedon. In fact he’s explained what makes Whedon so terrifically awesome.
While talking to Entertainment Weekly ahead of the release of ‘Blackhat’, Hemsworth was asked about the upcoming sequel to 2012’s ‘The Avengers’, which will see him star as Thor.
And after admitting that it is both “huge” and “insane,” Hemsworth explained that what will really make ‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron’ special is Joss Whedon.
“What I love about Joss is the incredible amount of detail in amongst that action,” Whedon explained. “The action’s sort of the bonus I think. What you get in this is a very detailed look at what those guys are going through in this particular current state of the world…”
The first two trailers for ‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron’ have certainly suggested that Thor, Chris Evans’ Captain America, Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk, Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow and Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man will have plenty of emotional weight to contend with during their battle with James Spader’s Ultron.
Meanwhile Chris Hemsworth admitted that he didn’t know anything about Thor before he portrayed the Nordic God in the 2011 blockbuster.
And while he was both “intimated” and slightly concerned about how “ridiculous” the character could be, Hemsworth calmed a little after reading the comics.
And now the success of ‘Thor’, its follow up: ‘Thor: The Dark World’ and ‘The Avengers’ means that he is just excited about being involved.
We’ll see if Hemsworth and Whedon can help to continue Marvel’s recent success when ‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron’ is released on 24 April, 2015.
