Christine McGuinness to take part on Strictly the Real Full Monty
Christine McGuinness, 'EastEnders' actress Laila Morse and Loose Women's Brenda Edwards are part of the line-up for 'Strictly the Real Full Monty'.
The ITV show will return to screens this Christmas and the trio will be joined by professional dancers and husband and wife James and Ola Jordan, Blue singer Duncan James and Olympian Colin Jackson, who will all be stripping on stage to raise cancer awareness.
Presenter Ashley Banjo said: "I'm so excited to be working with a new brilliant, bold and brave line-up of celebrities for 'Strictly the Real Full Monty'.
"It's going to be our biggest musical dance extravaganza yet and we are determined to get the message out there that early cancer checks in intimate areas save lives. So don't forget to check your bits and baubles this Christmas!"
The rest of the line-up includes TV presenter Martin Roberts and 'Love Island' favourites Teddy Soares and Demi Jones.
Each star will also open up about how cancer has personally affected their lives.
Previous stars to have stripped on the show include 'Pointless' presenter Alexander Armstrong, Rob Rinder and Love Island’s Megan Barton-Hanson.
Confirming the line-up, ITV Factual Commissioner Kate Teckman said: "This year we’re bringing our message with a bang by adding a huge dose of sequins, sparkles, sambas and salsas to the strip. They’ll also be star guest performances and stunning solos so hold onto your mirror balls – this is strictly the most ambitious Full Monty yet!”
Each star will also open up about how cancer has affect their life, the programme coming just months after Demi, 22, revealed she had a cancerous tumour removed from her thyroid.
She told fans at the time: "Hi guys, I got my results today and unfortunately I have thyroid cancer. The tumour has been removed but I’m now due to have more surgery to remove the rest of my thyroid. I’m staying very positive and I’m a strong girl so I’ll be fine, thank you for your love and support always. I’ll bounce back stronger."
