CinemaCon 2023 kicked off on April 24 at Caesars Palace Las Vegas, with filmmakers and studios across the globe revealing their latest work and teasing fans about upcoming movies.

Warner Bros. Pictures wowed audiences with appearances from cast members of Barbie the Movie, Wonka, and Dune: Part Two, including Ryan Gosling, Margot Robbie, Timothee Chalamet, and Zendaya.

Universal Pictures, on the other hand, teased their upcoming projects Migration, Trolls 3, Kung Fu Panda 4, and others.

Here is everything Universal revealed about the highly anticipated fan-favourite films.

Kung Fu Panda 4

Jack Black stopped by the prestigious industry event to promote Kung Fu Panda 4.

He shared that the movie will see Po being promoted, meaning that he needs to find a new Dragon Warrior and leave the Valley of Peace to move to the big city. As the hero starts to train a female fox, he comes across a new villain named The Chameleon who summons all the other villains from the previous movies to face him.

The adorable animated movie will be directed by Mike Mitchell, who worked on Shrek Forever After and Lego Movie 2, and will hit cinemas on March 8, 2024.

Trolls 3: Trolls Band Together

The franchise’s leads Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick were at CinemaCon 2023 to share more about the third instalment to the beloved Trolls movies ahead of its November release.

It was revealed that the film would see Poppy and Branch become an official couple. As the two adorable Trolls grow closer, the plot will include Poppy finding out that Branch was once a member of the boy band Brozone.

To the joy of fans, the film will feature numerous Backstreet Boys songs and be released on November 17, 2023.

Animated movie lovers are in for a treat with Universal working on yet another heart-conquering film.

Migration will tell the story of a family of ducks who try to convince their overprotective father to go on the vacation of a lifetime.

Starring Elizabeth Banks, Awkwafina, Keegan-Michael Key, Danny DeVito, David Mitchell, Kumail Nanjiano and more, the film is expected to hit theatres on December 22.

Ruby Gillman: Teenage Kraken

This animated movie will star Toni Colette, Jane Fonda, Annie Murphy, Will Forte, Lana Condor, and more.

The synopsis will make people think the hero of the movie, Ruby, is a monster, but all she wants to be is an average teenager. Despite everyone being afraid of them, the film’s storyline will show that Krakens are actually heroes and the much-loved mermaids are the true villains.

The movie will hit the big screen on June 30.
