Gangemi oversees any trademarked merchandise the gaming company produces. Andbox designs apparel for esports athletes that looks more like streetwear and chic athleisure than a standard t-shirt with a logo. Some of the teams working with the company are New York Excelsior (an Overwatch League team), Subliners (a Call of Duty team) and Andbox’s own Valorant team.

“There are 60 million active gamers in the United States,” Gangemi told In The Know. “There is no other sport in the entire world that has a participant rate like that. We create all of the team assets for both teams so jerseys, t-shirts, sweatshirts and hats. We also create a full lifestyle line of cut-and-sew and beautifully embroidered goods.”
New York was never really considered the epicenter of esports the way Los Angeles is. Andbox is trying to change that.
“It is our job as an organization to put New York on the map,” Gangemi said. “We feel that we’ve done that and we have a lot more work to do to move forward. How do we create different products and fandom that’s going to be long-term? We’re gonna create the best product we can physically and digitally.”
As for those who are interested in carving a path in the esports field, Gangemi has some sound advice: “I would say the time is now if you’re young and hungry and love gaming to be apart of the industry that’s still in its infancy stages.”
