Danielle Lloyd and Chantelle Heskey have come out in support of Coleen Rooney, after she publicly accused fellow WAG Rebekah Vardy of leaking private details about her life to the press.

On Wednesday 9 October, Rooney - who is now being dubbed WAGatha Christie online - took to Twitter and Instagram to say that she’d been monitoring her social media activity closely, after noticing that certain things and events she was posting on the platforms would end up being written about in the media shortly after she’d shared them.

She claimed that she’d made up a number of false stories too, from a flooded basement to her announcing she was returning to TV, in order to catch the tell-all out and that she had the screenshots to prove that Vardy was the only one who had viewed them.

Vardy has denied the explosive allegations but Heskey, who is married to former England footballer Emile Heskey, has urged doubters to remember that Rooney has “investigated [this] over a long period of time.”

Appearing on Good Morning Britain, the 36-year-old told hosts Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard: "I know Coleen, yep, I'm friends with her. We're not the closest of friends but are in the same circle.

"She's a lovely girl, has a lovely family and I don’t think she’s just done this overnight. It's a small circle of friends that you've got as it is so to find out it's someone on your personal social media, someone you're supposed to trust, it must be hard.”

She continued on to say: "I think her whole life is played out in public as it is, she’s a private person and I think enough is enough. When you find out it's come from this account, it might not have been her first hand, but I don't know... I feel like good for you, why not."

Elsewhere, Danielle Lloyd, who was married to former Arsenal midfielder Jamie O’Hara between 2012 and 2014, left a number of rat emojis on Rooney’s original post.

"On a serious note though who does that it's terrible,” she added, seemingly siding with Wayne Rooney’s wife.

Nicola McLean, who is married to former QPR player Tom Williams, liked Vardy’s response, however, suggesting that she doesn’t agree with Rooney’s very public condemnation of Vardy.

“What would I gain from selling stories on you?” replied footballer Jamie Vardy’s wife in a impassioned statement. “As I have just said to you on the phone, I wish you had called me if you thought this. I never speak to anyone about you as various journalists who have asked me to over the years can vouch for.”
