Netflix’s Bridgerton and BBC’s Line Of Duty are both cult TV shows, but you’d be forgiven for thinking the incredibly popular series have nothing in common with each other, seeing as one is all about catching bent coppers and the other is a steamy period drama.

While both of the show’s storylines do feature a mystery character in the form of ‘H’ and Lady Whistledown, it turns out there’s a major cast crossover, too.

Now that Line Of Duty season 6 is back on our screens and people are rewatching previous seasons, fans have noticed that Claudia Jessie, who plays sassy Eloise Bridgerton in the Netflix show, also starred in the fourth season of Line Of Duty.

Ring any bells? Here’s a quick memory refresh: Claudia played Detective Constable Jodie Taylor, who worked alongside DCI Roz Huntley (Thandiwe Newton), the main target of AC-12’s investigation. Like Thandiwe, Claudia only starred in one season.

Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: ‘I have only just twigged that Eloise Bridgerton is also Jodie from Line of Duty. Yes, that Jodie in Season 4. Well done, Claudia Jessie’.

Another tweeted: ‘Eloise from Bridgerton clearly picked up her detective skills working for a bent DCI in Line of Duty too.’

Claudia isn’t the only Bridgerton cast member to have been involved in the BBC show. Polly Walker, AKA Bridgerton's Portia Featherington, plays the infamous Gill Biggeloe in Line Of Duty (who was responsible for a VERY dramatic season 5 finale).

Earlier this year, Bridgerton fans also discovered two of the show’s stars appeared in Harry Potter films. Admittedly it was a blink and you'll definitely miss it moment, but the Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page) appeared in 2011's Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 as an extra, while Prince Friederich (Freddie Stroma) from the series played Cormac McLaggen in 2009's Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Netflix recently revealed the exciting news that Bridgerton had been renewed for a third and fourth season. With new characters already announced to be joining from season 2, we’re sure there’ll be plenty of cast crossovers to spot in future.
