Since ex-Love Islanders Maura Higgins and Chris Taylor made their relationship official, they've been looking pretty loved up to say the least (hello, PDA). While plenty of the pair's fellow Love Island stars, including Molly-Mae and Amber, have shared how excited they are about the new relationship, there's one Islander who's certainly not happy.

Yep, that's Curtis Pritchard, who split from Maura back in March after eight months together. Curtis has said he feels "hurt" and "betrayed" by Maura and Chris' new relationship announcement, after they'd apparently said they would "never" be together.

"I feel betrayed by them both — two people I was very close to," Curtis told The Sun in an exclusive interview.

"When I saw the pictures, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t feel hurt. I was upset. [I thought] How long has this truly been going on for?"

Curtis added that he thinks "the signs" were already pointing towards Maura and Chris getting together, even though they'd apparently told him that it wouldn't happen.

"At the time I was accused of cheating, but I never did. I was always faithful to Maura," he explained. "If you look back on everything ... I’m like, 'Curtis, all the signs were bloomin’ there, why didn’t you realise then?' You just don’t when you are in that situation. You trust what they say. Now her true colours are shown. They said they would never ever be together, and here they are."

Curtis also revealed that Chris told him he fancied Maura in the Love Island villa, and that Maura and Chris have now unfollowed him. "When we were on Love Island, Chris was upset in the villa a lot. I supported him and backed him up. I was a really good person to Chris — and he told me then that he fancied Maura," Curtis explained. "But later on it all disappeared. He unfollowed me online, then Maura unfollowed me too."

Looking back on their relationship, Curtis says that Maura and Chris spent a lot of time together, even when Curtis and Maura were together.

"I was accused of cheating on Maura by someone online but when that happened, Maura was in a club with Chris. He was pouring drinks into her mouth, and Maura’s pouring drinks into Chris’s mouth — and they were staying together too at times like that," he explained, adding that Chris and others would still go to watch Maura on Dancing On Ice, while Maura had asked Curtis to stop going.

Curtis added that the accusations made about him in relation to Maura have caused a lot of "hurt".

"The worst thing is the amount of hate and trash that was thrown at me when we split. There were so many accusations about me, even though nothing ever happened. But it didn’t just affect me, it was everyone around me — my whole family, my mum, my dad and my brother. It was all lies."

However, on whether he'll actually speak to Maura and Chris, Curtis said, "I have seen their posts online but I don’t contact them and they haven’t contacted me."

"If I bump into them, I’ll just say congratulations and I hope it really does turn out to be 'the one'."
