After spending years on the road performing stand up comedy and starring in Hollywood blockbusters, Dane Cook has settled into a quiet life in Los Angeles.

But on Friday, it was revealed that the comedian, 45, has been dating singer Kelsi Taylor, 19, for the past year. And while their relationship is making headlines, the comedian has largely stayed out of the spotlight in recent years.

1. He’s super into health and fitness

Cook has been vocal about his decision to abstain from alcohol and drugs throughout his life, and recently, he’s taken his appreciation for a healthy lifestyle to the next level.

The comedian has flaunted his fit physique on Instagram, sharing countless shirtless photos of himself in the gym and on the beach.

He even dismissed rumors that he’s had plastic surgery, explaining that his ageless look is simply thanks to lots of water and hitting the gym.

“So many weirdos DMing me asking why I wax my eyebrows or Botox. It’s called healthy living my friends,” he wrote on an Instagram post in the comments section. “Never drank or did a drug. All that s— f—- up your skin. I’ve had a dermatologist for years to help me keep my skin nice with constant travel. Drink mostly water!”

2. He has a dog named Chopper

Two years ago, Cook became the proud papa of a dog named Chopper — and the two have been inseparable ever since!

The adorable pup makes a regular appearance on the comedian’s Instagram account and it’s clear that the two are totally smitten with one another. Chopper has even accompanied the comedian on numerous vacations.

In July, Chopper was treated to his first beach day. Cook shared a photo of himself with his dog standing near the ocean.

Chopper even has his own Instagram account, where Cook shares even more photos of the dogs daily routine.

3. He loves going on vacations with friends

When he’s not hanging out in L.A., Cook can be seen jet-setting around the world with his friends.

“Always looking for my next adventure,” Cook captioned a photo from his recent trip to Hawaii, where he was joined by Taylor and several close pals.

And just ahead of the New Year, Cook shared a photo of himself bundled up as he boarded a plane to Minnesota.

“-12 with a wind chill of 32 below but we’re about to heat up Minnesota & ring in 2018 in style,” he captioned the shot.

4. He’s still as funny as ever

While Cook isn’t actively touring, the comedian flexes his comedy muscles on social media. His account is filled with hilarious posts proving that he’s definitely still got a killer sense of humor.

Cook regularly photoshops himself into various photos, giving them a comical edge.

On social media, the couple has been sharing their relationship on Instagram, often documenting their trips and special moments together – including Taylor’s recent 19th birthday.

Most recently, the comedian – who is 26 years older than his lady love – shared a selfie from one of their date nights, adding the hashtag #relationshipgoals.

“My girl @itskelsitaylor is one of my favorite people on the planet. She’s a talented singer but more importantly, she’s a genuine person. Check out her music and get to know her. She’s gonna go far!” Cook captioned a photo of the couple in April to support her aspiring music career.

The actor, who has co-starred in movies with Kate Hudson and Jessica Simpson, was previously romantically linked to Julianne Hough and Racquel Houghton.

Taylor has performed background vocals for Grammy nominees such as Demi Lovato and Little Big Town.
