Daniel Craig Bails on Thriller ‘The Whole Truth’

Daniel Craig has exited the courtroom thriller “The Whole Truth.”

The James Bond actor had been attached to star just before the Berlin Film Festival, with Nicholas Kazan (“Enough”) signing on to write the script. Renee Zellweger came on board in March to co-star.

The Boston Globe, citing unnamed sources, said Craig pulled out of the project over the weekend. The project was due to go into production this spring.

“The Whole Truth” will be produced by Atlas Entertainment’s Richard Suckle. FilmNation is handling international rights and CAA is handling domestic rights.

Courtney Hunt (“Frozen River”) was attached to direct.

Craig will begin shooting the 24th James Bond film in the fall with the release set for October and November of 2015.
