Daniel Radcliffe and James McAvoy On Victor Frankenstein, Crazy Fans, and James Bond

James McAvoy and Daniel Radcliffe play BFFs Victor and Igor in this week’s ‘Victor Frankenstein’, so when we got the opportunity to talk to them both, rather than us blathering on at them, we had the bright idea of getting them to interview each other.

We supplied the questions and they supplied the answers. Watch the results above.

Here’s what we learned from the two titans of British cinema…

James is a big Taylor Swift fan

Sticking with the themes of the movie which is a retelling of Mary Shelley’s classic gothic horror, we asked the pair whose body they’d like to transplant their heads onto. Daniel plumped for Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck, while James opted for Taylor Swift.

Daniel REALLY wanted to be in The Simpsons

Daniel fulfilled a lifetime ambition by appearing twice on ‘The Simpsons’. “When I got cast as Harry Potter,” he tells Yahoo Movies, “the second thing that went through me head after ‘oh, I’ve been cast in Harry Potter’ was ‘maybe I’ll get to be in The Simpsons one day now.’”

James doesn’t want the James Bond gig

“I’ve never been interested [in playing Bond],” he tells us, “I never ever thought it’d be that much fun to play. But, it’s a great part, don’t get me wrong, and Daniel [Craig] does an amazing job at it. But I don’t think I’m James Bond, I don’t think I’d do it well, and I don’t think I’d have fun doing it.

James made Daniel a bolder actor

“[James] had the effect of bringing the boldness out in me,” Daniel explains, “and when we did those first scenes it was… your boldness and bravery gave me permission to go further.”

‘Victor Frankenstein’ is in UK cinemas now.
