Hold up... it seems that Danny Dyer could be returning to the Costa Del Crime, for a sequel to 90s crime caper The Business.

Along with the The Football Factory, which was also written and directed by British helmsman Nick Love, it was among the films that made a name for the East London star, these days a staple on EastEnders playing publican Mick Carter.

Now, 14 years later, his co-star Tamer Hassan has reportedly penned a script for a second instalment, with the working title Back In Business, and according to The Sun, Dyer is 'primed to return'.

“Tamer is incredibly excited about the script,” a source told the paper. “Fans of The Business are going to be in for a treat.

“There’s still so much intrigue around that movie and both Tamer and Danny still get a lot of love for it.

“Danny remains dedicated to EastEnders, and shooting the movie won’t affect his role in Walford. But, of course, he’s excited about the prospect of reuniting with Tamer on screen.”

The 80s-set movie found Dyer playing Frankie, a fugitive who flees London to the Costa Del Sol, where he becomes involved in drug trafficking with Hassan's 'Playboy Charlie'.

It also starred Geoff Bell, Dyer's EastEnders co-star Linda Henry and Georgina Chapman, who would go on to marry producer Harvey Weinstein.

Though its £1.5 million box office haul failed to match its £2 million budget, it was nominated for a British Independent Film award, though it lost out to 2005 movie Gypo.
