David Beckham is reportedly in talks with streaming services to develop a film about his life.

According to The Sun, the footballer was inspired by the Netflix docu-series The Last Dance, about the life of US basketballer Michael Jordan.

Beckham is reportedly producing the series via his TV firm Studio 99, which was launched last year.

The footballer is reportedly in talks with both Amazon and Netflix.

An insider told The Sun the film will look at Beckham’s life after his football career.

“It’s something David is excited about and has wanted to do for a while. The film will feature new content and archive footage,” they said.

“It’s going to be about David’s life post-football, especially the creation of his new team in Miami, but will have some personal content too.

“Interest in his life and family is huge. Everyone has high hopes for this.”

The Last Dance is a ten-episode documentary miniseries following Michael Jordan’s last season with the Chicago Bulls, while looking back on his whole record-breaking career.

Co-produced by ESPN Films and Netflix, the series debuted on the streaming service in July.

The Beckhams have spent most of lockdown at their home in the Cotswolds, but recently escaped to Puglia, Italy for a family holiday in the sun.

They were joined by son Brooklyn’s new fiance Nicola Peltz, who Brooklyn proposed to after spending lockdown with her in New York.
