David O. Russell's next film to feature Louis C.K.

Oscar-nominated director David O. Russell's next film, based on the true story of a con artist is to feature Emmy winner Louis C.K. as an FBI agent.

Louis Szekely, 45, known professionally as Louis C.K. is a Mexican-American Emmy Award-winning stand-up comedian, television and film writer, director and actor. He is the creator, star, producer, writer, director of the FX comedy series 'Louie'.


The actor, who recently starred in Woody Allen's yet-to-be-released 'Blue Jasmin' will appear next to a cast that includes Christian Bale, Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner and Bradley Cooper.

The Columbia Pictures film which is due to start filming next month is based on the tale of a real-life con artist (played by Bale) forced to work with a rogue federal agent in order to get revenge on other criminals and politicians.

Director Russell has just picked up two Academy Award nominations for his edgy romcom, 'Silver Linings Playbook' for both writing and directing. The film is also the first in 31 years to receive best actor nominations in all four categories.
