Davina McCall shares emotional message about lockdown 'rollercoaster'

Davina McCall has opened up about having a tough time in lockdown, calling it “a rollercoaster”.

The TV star, 52, posted an emotional message on Instagram saying that “in the interest of transparency” she wanted to share that she had had a difficult morning in which she had shouted at her children and “cried a lot”.

“I just thought I would let you know I've had one of those mornings where I've shouted at my children,” said the mother-of-three.

“And I've cried – a lot – and thought to myself, ‘My God what's happened to you? Who are you?’

“And then laughed a little bit, and even laughed with my kids, who I shouted at.”

“It’s a rollercoaster, this thing,” added the former Big Brother star.

McCall said that she had put on some lipstick to give herself a boost but that it was not really helping.

“But I feel OK – I mean I'm OK, I'm not going mad… well, maybe a bit,” she said.

McCall recently said that she was experiencing anxiety for the first time amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Talking to fans on Instagram Live, she said that she “got a wave of anxiety about the unknown that I have never ever experienced before”.

The TV star is currently in lockdown at home with her three children from her former marriage with Matthew Robertson – daughters Holly, 18, and Tilly, 16, and son Chester, 13.
