Big Brother legend Davina McCall has thanked her social media followers after turning to Twitter for help when her beloved dog Bo went missing.
The appeal for help worked and the popular presenter managed to find the dog after it was “rescued” by two women in Tunbridge Wells.
A concerned McCall turned to Twitter on Friday ( 6 November) when she realised Bo was missing.
She tweeted to her 2.7million followers: “I know this is a long shot. My dog Bo was picked up in Tunbridge Wells by two ladies and they told someone who told me that they were taking her to a vet . She is chipped.
“I’ve called every vet locally 5 mile radius. Please let me know which vets. X please RT.”
Dog lovers keen to help McCall acted quickly, and her tweet was shared over 2,000 times.
Luckily the appeal was effective and within a couple of hours she updated fans.
She tweeted: “Omg it worked !!!!!! Bo is with a dog warden .. I’m so stressed I can’t find a way to contact them online please @TWellsCouncil can u help me with a contact no?”
She then shared a video telling fans she had Bo and thanked everyone for their help.
She said: “I've got her, she's in the back of the car. Thank you everybody for the retweets. She's safe and sound.”
McCall later tweeted her frustration over the incident being reported as if her dog had been stolen by the two women, something she was keen to clarify wasn’t the case.
She told fans: “My dog was found on the road outside my house and two ladies very sweetly rescued her and took her to the dog warden.
“She was not stolen as some people are reporting . They were looking after her.”
