Dawn O'Porter has voiced disapproval on the sharing out of private messages from Caroline Flack in the wake of her sad death.

She's opined that sending out the texts is a "massive betrayal" to her late friend, who died by suicide on 15 February.

"Can we all just agree that posting Caroline's personal texts is a massive betrayal?" she wrote in a tweet. "Please consider that if for some reason you are thinking of doing it. She'd absolutely hate it."

Screenshotting the tweet and posting it to her Instagram page, she added: "As if this needed to be said."

O'Porter's comments come after several friends and acquaintances of the late Love Island host shared screenshots of their correspondence with her.

At the time of her death, Flack was weeks away from going on trial after being charged with assault on boyfriend Lewis Burton.

Flack's ex-boyfriend and rugby star Danny Cipriani shared his last exchange with Flack, noting that it was part of his "grieving process". Flack mentioned her impending court case in the messages.

Meanwhile, Kerry Katona published messages from Flack asking for advice on how to deal with online trolling.

Katona later questioned whether she had done “the right thing” by posting the interaction.

Piers Morgan was also amongst those who published a conversation between himself and Flack, sharing messages they had exchanged about actor and activist Jameela Jamil.

It came as Morgan engaged in an online spat with The Good Place star, who critiqued his actions and stated that Flack "would be disgusted her personal messages were shared".
