Deadpool 2 adds Mary Elizabeth Winstead & Sofia Boutella to Domino shortlist

It looks as though Domino will appear in ‘Deadpool 2’.

According to Collider, not only will the classic ‘X-Men’ character make an appearance in the upcoming ‘Deadpool’ sequel, but there’s a pretty awesome shortlist, too.

“Sources close to the production exclusively tell Collider that testing has begun for the character of Domino,” they revealed. “The actresses under consideration include Lizzy Caplan, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Sienna Miller, Sofia Boutella, Stephanie Sigman, and Sylvia Hoeks.”

In addition to this already impressive shortlist, four more names were also recently added: Mackenzie Davis, Ruby Rose, Eve Hewson, and Kelly Rohrbach.

But who is Domino?

Much like Deadpool, the mutant femme fatale is a mercenary. And her power is awesome. Domino can subconsciously and telepathically initiate random telekinetic acts that affect probability in her favour - essentially this gives her constant good luck and her enemies, bad luck.

Most importantly, she’s a long-time member of X-Force, and eventually hooked up with Cable - another mutant already confirmed to appear in the ‘Deadpool’ sequel. So perhaps Domino’s appearance was inevitable.

Who will land the role of Domino? That remains to be seen.

But it’s a pretty impressive shortlist so far. There’s a Bond girl, an upcoming Baywatch star and even an established comic book movie actress. So for now, we’ll have to wait and see.

‘Deadpool’ stars Ryan Reynolds as the quick-witted Marvel mutant.

Tim miller will direct, based on a screenplay by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.

‘Deadpool 2’ will begin filming in 2017.
