Yahoo Movies Deadpool 3 is bringing back two original stars
Deadpool 3 is bringing back two original stars for the latest instalment in the Marvel franchise.
As reported by Deadline, both Leslie Uggams and Karan Soni will be reprising their roles as Blind Al and Dopinder respectively; the pair appeared in each of the first two films in the series.
The pair will join Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Emma Corrin and Matthew Macfadyen in the film, which is the first Deadpool feature to be integrated into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Shawn Levy, who has worked with both Reynolds (Free Guy) and Jackman (Real Steel) before, will be on directing duties.

The film will see Jackman reprise his role as Wolverine from the X-Men franchise, with the actor recently revealing that the iconic role has ruined his voice.
“My teacher at drama school would have been horrified by some of the things I did [as] Wolverine,” he said. “I've done some damage to my voice through playing [him]. My falsetto is not as strong as it used to be, and I put that down directly to some of the growling and yelling I did.”
Though the plot for Deadpool 3 has largely been kept under wraps, both Reynolds and Jackman have confirmed the events of Logan will not be impacted, with the former saying he wanted to “protect the legacy” of the 2017 film.

“We’ve figured out a way to do it that’s Hugh Jackman-approved and Kevin Feige-approved where we’re completely protecting the legacy of Logan the way it was left off. I wouldn’t mess with that. I’m really excited,” he said.
“I’m lucky that I get to work in this industry, particularly incredibly fortunate that I get to work in it this long but I really want to work with people that are either immensely talented or people that I love that I’m genuinely best friends with. Unfortunately, Hugh does not qualify as either of those. But I am excited because I’m a Logan fan,” he quipped.
Deadpool and Deadpool 2 are streaming on Disney+, and also available on digital download, DVD and Blu-ray. Deadpool 3, starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, has a release date of September 6, 2024.
