It’s double trouble for Gru in the second ‘Despicable Me 3’ trailer which introduces his long lost twin brother Dru.

Gru and Dru, his hirsute and annoyingly chipper sibling (both voiced by Steve Carrell) meet for the first time after Gru receives a message from a mysterious stranger. Dru wants to get into the family tradition of being an evil villain, but Gru seems happy to have left that life behind him.

Alongside Kristen Wiig who returns as Lucy, the third ‘Despicable Me’ film sees a welcome return for those pesky Minions, Gru’s worker drones, who are desperate for him to return to a life of crime.

It looks like Dru convinces his brother as the trailer ends with a hilarious scene that sees the twins attempting to scale 80s villain Balthazar Bratt’s (‘South Park’ co-creator Trey Parker) lair.

‘Despicable Me 3’ comes to UK cinemas 30 June.
