Disney fans are swooning over Zayn's 'A Whole New World' video — and his resemblance to Aladdin

Zayn Malik has released his video for "A Whole New World," and fans are going Aladdin-sane. A duet with "Candlelight" singer Zhavia Ward, the ballad from Disney's 1992 animated feature Aladdin is the lead single from Guy Richie's upcoming live-action Aladdin. Like the other songs on the soundtrack, including "Friend Like Me" rapped by Will Smith's genie, "A Whole New World" has been updated with fresh beats for 2019.

Zayn and Zhavia's "A Whole New World" will play over the film's closing credits; in the film itself, the duet is sung by actors Naomi Scott and Mena Massoud. But according to Twitter's Zayn fans, the former One Direction singer (who is of English and Pakistani heritage) was born to be Aladdin. The new video plays up the resemblance by giving Zayn classic Disney-prince hair.

The Aladdin soundtrack, now available for pre-order, will also include “Arabian Nights,” “One Jump Ahead,” “Prince Ali,” “Friend Like Me,” and “Speechless,” a new song written for Princess Jasmine.

Aladdin opens in theaters on May 24.
