Disney Pixar’s Inside Out: Meet Sadness In Exclusive New Clip
After a Pixar-less 2014, anticipation levels for the animation studio’s next movie ‘Inside Out’ are understandably high, so we’re thrilled to bring you a brand new featurette introducing one of the film’s key characters: Sadness.
The film from Oscar-winning director Pete Docter (‘Monsters Inc.’) takes place in the mind of Riley, a young girl governed by her emotions - Sadness, Joy, Fear, Anger, and Disgust.
Star of the American ‘The Office’ Phyllis Smith voices the dour emotion, but as she explains in the video above, we all need a bit of sadness in our lives.
“Sadness doesn’t judge,” says Smith, “She’s right there with you, so pull out your hanky and enjoy a good cry.”
Judging by Docter’s last directorial effort for Disney Pixar ‘Up’, we’re sure a few tears will be shed during ‘Inside Out’ when its released on 24 July.
