Disney has delayed the release of the live-action Mulan once again, as Avatar 2 and a future Star Wars movie have been pushed back by an entire year.

With cinemas still yet to open amid the coronavirus pandemic, Disney has had to make some changes to its release calendar.

"Over the last few months, it's become clear that nothing can be set in stone when it comes to how we release films during this global health crisis, and today that means pausing our release plans for Mulan as we assess how we can most effectively bring this film to audiences around the world," a Walt Disney Studios spokesperson said in a statement on Thursday (July 23).

James Cameron's Avatar 2 is being hit by the change-around, while Disney has not yet specified which Star Wars movie will be pushed back by a year.
