Poor Hector found himself running out of time in pounds at just ten months old. Rescue Remedies saved his life by offering a place in its care. Hector has a wonderful, calm character and adores being stroked. He’s very sweet, easy to walk and has a lovely temperament. Due to his young age, he still has multiple 'puppy behaviours' and has not experienced much in his short life, but deserves a loving home. (Photo: Rescue Remedies)

Lola has a sad past, having been found with her deceased owner. Now in Rescue Remedies care, she is beginning to come out of her shell but still has some nervous tendencies. She requires a little reassurance occasionally and will stand close and touch your hand with her nose to comfort herself. She has been described as a 'lovely girl' who has many German Shepherd tendencies, including intelligence and friendliness. (Photo: Rescue Remedies)

Queenie has been described by Rescue Remedies as 'a very sweet dog who has proven herself in foster'. Her carer said she 'delights and amuses' them in 'equal measure'. She loves playing with a tennis ball and will look at you with pleading eyes until you play with her! Queenie is more than ready for her forever home and will be a wonderful additional to family or someone looking for some loyal company and lots of cuddles. She has been 'excellent' with children - taking treats gently, walking side by side on the lead and providing lots of entertainment. She has a calm and serene energy about her, and is just as happy watching the television as she is playing or going out. (Photo: Rescue Remedies)
Pip is a hit with the dog walkers at Rescue Remedies! He has quickly transformed from a shy dog to an affectionate and friendly pup who likes to give his favourite people kisses. He loves sniffing about on walks and is eager to please, especially if he gets treats in return! He would prefer a quieter household with a secure garden. (Photo: Rescue Remedies)

Gimli is a firm favourite with the volunteers at Rescue Remedies. He is a happy, affectionate and friendly dog who has been described as a 'bundle of joy' and an 'adorable ball of energy'. He enjoys being out and about, especially if he gets to chase a tennis ball, and is 'all about the scratches'. Gimli has grown up in kennels, having arrived at two weeks old, and is looking for a home with a determined family who can teach him new skills and help him settle down into a home for the first time. He can be boisterous and excitable but is eager to please and has a lot of love to give. Lenny is a lurcher who has proved a great companion on his regular foster breaks. He loves all people and is a gentle soul. He walks with slack leads and rarely pulls, and enjoys nothing more than lying around surrounded by people. He’s a typical lurcher - loving, intelligent and very food focused. Freya was found in a empty house in a unfurnished room in a crate. She had been fed once every other day, had no toys and no blankets. She has worries about the outside world but likes people and loves to make friends. She greets all of her walkers with an excited 'wiggle' and lots of kisses. Freya is sweet, kind and very playful, and will make a lovely companion for a lucky person who can treasure in the way she deserves. Toby is a beautiful, 'scruffy' Patterdale with the 'cutest, cheekiest smile' according to his dog walkers. He takes treats beautifully and loves a head rub. He can be reactive to other dogs outside but does settle with known dogs on a lead. He cannot live with children but would suit an owner who is experienced with terriers in a quiet home. They must also have a 'terrier-proof' garden. His walker said he would make a lovely friend to whoever is lucky enough to give him a home. (Photo: Rescue Remedies)
Breeze is a very friendly young Cane Corso who lost his home as a result of a house fire. He can be strong on walks, but he’s young and inexperienced and has a very loving nature. His walker at the rescue said he 'has come so far' since arriving at the shelter and is becoming 'a bit of a love bug'. He has been describes as an amazing companion who gives you so much love once you have built a trusting bond. Tyler has been described by his foster carers as 'one the loveliest dogs I’ve ever met'. He is very well-behaved in the house and very food-driven, which makes training with him easy. He loves a cuddle and would happily sleep all day if you let him, especially in his owner's bed. He is friendly with people and often gets fuss when out on walks. He's also good with dogs, although can be too keen sometimes and pull a lot on the lead, so he needs an owner strong enough to handle him, and who is committed to continuing his training and socialisation. Charlie is an endearing ex-racing Greyhound whose racing name 'Totally Charmed' fits him perfectly, according to the rescue. He’s a lovely gentle greyhound who has proved himself in foster, where he has completely come out of his shell. He’s best for families without boisterous children but would make an affectionate companion. The 'gentle soul' enjoys snoozing in bed and is 'impeccably trained' due to his past. Magic is a very friendly, gentle boy who has love for everyone. He enjoys being around people and is very excitable around other dogs. He recently had one of his legs amputated, but this hasn't taken away from his bouncy and joyful character. He enjoys walks but will take full advantage of the chance to have a long lie-in in the mornings. Magic recently spent the weekend with a foster family who said he has all the qualities of a perfect best friend, and just needs a bit of time and support as he adjusts.
