Donald Trump Calls Out Disney’s ‘Frozen’ in Star of David Controversy

Donald Trump has taken aim at Disney’s “Frozen” in his effort to quell the controversy over his use of what critics have called anti-Semitic imagery in a tweet bashing Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton.

Trump, the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, came under fire this past weekend for a tweet featuring Hillary Clinton’s picture next to a Star of David with the words “Most Corrupt Candidate Ever.” Reports quickly emerged that the star image had previously surfaced on a white supremacist message board.

The Trump campaign blamed the ensuing controversy on slanted media coverage, calling the outrage “ridiculous” and denying that the star image was taken from a white supremacist message board. The Trump campaign maintained the six-cornered star was taken from an anti-Clinton twitter feed and meant to invoke a sheriff’s badge.

On Wednesday night, Trump sent a tweet pointing to a star image on the cover of a “Frozen” book tie-in. “Where is the outrage for this Disney book? Is this the Star of David also? Dishonest media,” he wrote.

Disney reps declined to comment.
