Donald Trump shares unfortunate photo op with Rogue One's Darth Vader
The USA’s 45th President Donald Trump continues to inadvertently find ways to attract ridicule.
The President was aboard Air Force One when addressing members of the press about his hugely controversial missile strike on Syria, at the same moment that ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ was playing on the in-flight TV.
As can be noted from the picture above, Trump emerged at the exact same moment that ‘Star Wars’ villain Darth Vader makes his first appearance in the Lucasfilm blockbuster from director Gareth Edwards.
It is notable that Trump’s press secretary Sean Spicer took over from the President just as Stormtroopers come charging out on screen.
Naturally, these images have sparked a flurry of commentary on Twitter:

Nothing to see here, folks. Just President Trump speaking to reporters next to the Darth Vader scene from Rogue One. pic.twitter.com/ceg6FWXrdl

We’ll leave it to the reader to decide whether this is anything more than an unfortunate coincidence.
However, this isn’t the first time the President has, seemingly by accident, drawn comparison between himself and a big screen bad guy, as his inaugural speech appeared to quote Bane from ‘The Dark Knight Rises.’
