Downey Jr injured on Iron Man set

Robert Downey Jr has injured his ankle while filming the next Iron Man instalment, causing the production to be delayed.

Marvel Entertainment, who are making the blockbuster action movie, revealed in a statement: "Robert Downey Jr sustained an ankle injury on the set of Iron Man 3 in Wilmington, North Carolina while performing a stunt.

"There will be a short delay in the production schedule while he recuperates."

Avengers Assemble star Robert reprises his role as Tony Stark in the film, which also features Gwyneth Paltrow, Guy Pearce and Sir Ben Kingsley.
