Yahoo Movies Dune: Part Two's Denis Villeneuve on most challenging scene in the sequel
Dune: Part Two director Denis Villeneuve has revealed what the most technically challenging scene in the sequel was.
The highly-anticipated follow-up to 2021's Dune sees Timothee Chalamet return to Arrakis in his role of Paul Atreides alongside Zendaya's Chani and a star-studded cast.
In an exclusive interview with Digital Spy ahead of the the film's release on March 1, Villeneuve explained that Part Two was more challenging than Part One because there were "more complicated sequences to bring to the screen".

"In Part One there was one that was a bit challenging, but here there were six or seven," he continued. "It was a much more ambitious movie, much more technically ambitious. By far, the biggest challenge of my life as a filmmaker."
If he had to pick out one scene, though, it would be the scene in which Paul rides the sandworm.
"The worm ride sequence was definitely one sequence that I was looking forward to bringing to the screen, but I knew it was going to be one of the big challenges in this movie. And I had to do it right, otherwise there would be no movie," he said.

Villeneuve confirmed earlier this month that Dune 3, also known as Dune Messiah, will be his last film in the franchise despite the novel series the films are based on having four more sequels.
"Dune Messiah should be the last Dune movie for me," he told Time magazine, though the project has not yet been officially greenlit.
The franchise has also spawned an upcoming HBO prequel series titled Dune: Prophecy, which takes place 10,000 years earlier to when sisters Tula and Valya Harkonnen established the fabled Bene Gesserit.
Dune: Part Two is released in cinemas on March 1.
