Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves has finally confirmed a UK digital release date.

The fantasy movie – based on the iconic role-playing game – debuted earlier this year, and drew a strong critical reception.

Fans will now be able to enjoy the fun all over again at home, with a digital release announced for July 7, while a DVD, Blu-ray, 4K UHD and 4K UHD will follow on July 31.

The movie features an impressive cast, led by Chris Pine as Edgin, Michelle Rodriguez as Holga, Justice Smith as Simon, Sophia Lillis as Doric, Regé-Jean Page as Xenk and Hugh Grant as Forge.

While a sequel is yet to be confirmed, writers and directors Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley have expressed keenness to return for another adventure.

"If we're lucky enough to make another one, then I think there's so many places to go. We've created these great characters who we would love to see where they are in a year or two," Goldstein previously told ComicBook.com.

In Digital Spy's verdict on the movie, we said: "Honor Among Thieves has only a morsel of the self-seriousness of Lord of the Rings. But it also isn't dragged down by aggressive, winking cynicism.

"It's a CGI-heavy spectacle that still makes room for practical tricks and complex puppets, a nod to the '80s era of filmmaking it so clearly draws from. It feels different, but certainly not too different. And that could be just the little shakeup Hollywood needs right now."

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves will be released on digital on July 7, and on DVD, Blu-ray, 4K UHD and 4K UHD on July 31.
