Dyer 'mistaken for taxi driver'

Danny Dyer has said he was mistaken for a taxi driver while making his new film Run For Your Wife.

The British hard man stars in the comedy as a black cab driver who has two wives, played by Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding and Denise Van Outen.

While shooting on location in London, Danny was recognised and people thought he had fallen on hard times.

He said at the premiere in Leicester Square: "They had to do some shots of me driving around Soho in the cab and people were like pulling me over and going, 'Dan, I know your career's going through a bit of a bad stage, but are you driving a cab now?'

"People actually believed it. It was a bit of a kick in the bum to be honest."

He added: "I loved making this film. I think I was born for comedy, I really do. It's just taken me a long time to find it."

Meanwhile, Sarah insisted she isn't putting acting before her music career.

The 31-year-old singer has previously appeared in BBC drama Freefall and St Trinian's 2.

She said: "I'm not going off to Hollywood and all that jazz. I love singing, music's my first love. If the right role comes along I'd love to take it, but right now I'm focusing on the tour."

She is currently getting ready to tour with the rest of the group - Cheryl Cole, Kimberley Walsh, Nadine Coyle and Nicola Roberts - this year to celebrate their 10th anniversary reunion.
