EastEnders spoilers follow.

EastEnders star Kellie Bright has teased how Linda Carter's world will be turned upside-down by the arrival of the Knight family.

Linda receives a shock next week, as she realises that her mum Elaine Peacock has been secretly plotting to move her partner George Knight and his two daughters Anna and Gina into the Queen Vic.

Elaine recently struck a deal with Linda to become co-owner of the pub, but kept suspiciously quiet about her intentions to move in three newcomers.

Speaking at an EastEnders press event this week, Kellie explained: "It's all a bit of a shock to the system for Linda. She suddenly has to not just share her pub with these people but her whole world, as they move in. It's a transition time.

"But it has been really wonderful to play. I have really enjoyed the last few months working with them all. I feel very lucky and like they have breathed life back into Linda Carter, which is nice.

"The pub needs a family, it needs people, it needs life – it can't be just me, Ollie and Annie rattling around in it. I'm grateful and looking forward to what's to come. We only know as much as we know and genuinely nothing beyond that.

"I don't know where this is going but it feels special and exciting. It's been relentless – it's full-on for them. The analogy is that it's a rollercoaster, jump on and then you'll get used to it and you'll be fine! They've all been amazing."

As previously revealed, the situation grows particularly tense between Linda and George in their early episodes together.

Kellie continued: "You've got remember that Linda has lost Mick and she's very scarred by Janine. For her, everyone is the enemy and no-one is to be trusted – especially not this man, who as far as she's concerned, her mum does not know nearly well enough.

"Starting from that place there is no openness and Linda is not wanting to get to know them. Linda thinks they're going to have to prove themselves to her. Linda does angry very well."

On Linda's betrayal of Sharon Watts, who also wanted to buy the pub, Kellie added: "Linda thwarted Sharon from taking over The Vic by bringing her mum in. There is tension but I hope that doesn't last too long because I love Tish [Letitia Dean, who plays Sharon] and I miss her. Hopefully it won't be an everlasting feud – fingers crossed."

EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer.
