It's official: You Are What You Eat is coming back 14 years after it last aired – though former I'm A Celeb contestant Gillian McKeith, the show's original host, won't be returning for the new series.

For those involved, it will mean pooping into Tupperware boxes and getting judged based on how it looks and how much is there. Lovely stuff.

The show's premise is about getting families eating healthier, and the way they do that is by having a good look at what their poop looks like. They then help the families ditch their bad diets and hopefully get better eating habits.

The show originally aired on Channel 4, but Channel 5 will be taking over for the new series, and at the helm will be Trisha Goddard and Dr Amir Khan.

"Our viewers love health and medical shows, and Trisha and Dr Amir Khan are the perfect combination to re-invent this series for 2021," Emma Westcott, VP, Commissioning Editor, ViacomCBS said (via Metro). "They will be on hand every step of the way to help motivate and inspire people to change their lifestyles for the better."

Trisha, the former talk show host, is looking forward to getting started helping families find out "how to create the best version" of themselves in this post-pandemic world.

"Many years ago, I finally worked out that what I ate helped dictate not only my physical health, but most importantly my mental health," she said.

"There has been extra stress on us recently because so many of us have been forced to drastically change routines, and while our social lives have shrunk, the same can't always be said for our waistlines.

"There is nothing more uplifting than finding how to create the best version of yourself."

You Are What You Eat will air on Channel 5 later this year.
