Just as some of the lyrics of ‘Let It Go’ are finally fading from the minds of exhausted parents all over the world, Frozen 2 is set to ignite the obsession all over again.
A new trailer for the upcoming Disney sequel arrived online today, teasing a rather serious adventure.
The ice powers of Queen Elsa, voiced by the returning Broadway star Idina Menzel, are set to be a major focus, with the wise troll family of the original film sending her north in order to uncover her past by heading into the unknown.

Plot details are still rather thin in this trailer, but it’s clear that there has been an escalation in the spectacle, stakes and jeopardy facing the beloved characters.
As well as Menzel, Kristen Bell is back in the cast as her sister Anna, while Jonathan Groff returns to the role of Kristoff and Josh Gad again voices the snowman Olaf.
Conspicuous by their absence from this trailer are the new songs that will presumably play a big part in the movie, after husband and wife songwriters Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez had such a huge impact of the first film’s success.
The new trailer debuted on Good Morning America today and has already caught the attention of fans.
The first teaser, unveiled in February, surpassed the animated movie viewing record with 116.4 million hits in its first 24 hours online.
This success is unsurprising given the cultural status of Frozen, which became a phenomenon after its release in 2013.
It won two Oscars, for Best Animated Feature and for that untouchable musical anthem, as well as raking in a mammoth $1.28bn (£1.01bn) at the global box office.

Since the release of the original film, fans have been treated to animated shorts Frozen Fever and Olaf’s Frozen Adventure, but the anticipation for a bona fide sequel has been building.
An adaptation for the Broadway stage has also been in the works since early 2014.
Frozen 2 is due for release into UK and US cinemas on 22 November.
