Emilia Clarke has admitted that even she was annoyed by the end of Game Of Thrones, as her lover/uncle Jon Show literally got away with the murder of her character Daenerys Targaryen.

Clarke made this admission to The Times, admitting that she really “felt for” Daenerys, before then declaring, “Yeah, was I annoyed that Jon Snow didn’t have to deal with something? He got away with murder — literally.”

The 33-year-old actor had quite a few more candid thoughts about the various criticisms made against its final six episodes. After being told that plenty of viewers had complained about the final few seasons of Game Of Thrones, saying that they felt rushed, Clarke admitted, “We could have spun it out for a little longer.”

However, when it comes to the complaints that the show had become all style and no substance, Clarke said that’s originally what made Game Of Thrones so attractive to so many viewers.

"It was all about the set pieces. I think the sensational nature of the show was, possibly, given a huge amount of airtime because that’s what makes sense.”

Clearly Game Of Thrones is well and truly in the past for Clarke, who is about to star in Anton Chekhov’s The Seagull at London’s Playhouse Theatre. It sounds as if Clarke wouldn’t mind featuring in another franchise, though. In fact, Clarke basically suggested she’d be interested in joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

“I think, if I did, it would be me having a giggle. I want to do something absolutely stupid and silly, like, you know, The Avengers or whatever. Something where I got to have a giggle with mates.”

Considering that her former Game Of Thrones co-stars and mates Kit Harrington and Richard Madden will star in the upcoming Eternals film, and Peter Dinklage was in Infinity War as Eitri, it sounds as if Clarke is waiting for Kevin Feige to give her a call.
