Emilia Clarke is only interested in indies after 'Game Of Thrones'
While the conclusion of Game Of Thrones was obviously rather depressing for its cast and crew, the end of the show at least means that they can now work on projects that don’t involve quite as much death and destruction.
That’s especially true for Emilia Clarke, because in between starring as Daenerys Targaryen throughout all eight seasons of Game Of Thrones she also appeared in the blockbusters Terminator: Genisys and Solo: A Star Wars Story.

In a recent interview with Indiewire, Clarke admitted that following the end of the hit show she was looking for a change of pace. After being asked whether she plans to make another big budget blockbuster for the big or small screen she declared, “Not any time soon. I’m really actively looking for indies. Those are the things I’m making, as well. And those are the movies I watch.”
Clarke is clearly a little tired of the routine that comes with working on projects of this size, especially when it comes to promoting them, too, as she insisted, “Now I just want to be able to do a project and to put all of my energy just into that.”
The 33-year-old actress recently started a production company to help find the sort of films that she is interested in. Clearly she is rather enjoying working behind the scenes on these movies, because not only is she a producer on all of them but she is writing some of them, too.

Unfortunately she wasn’t able to divulge any details on these projects. All that she would reveal is that one is a limited series, another is a TV series, and most of them are actually adaptations of books, which is helpful because she is such a keen reader.
Meanwhile you can see Clarke in action in Last Christmas later this month, as the romantic comedy will hit cinemas on November 15.
