Emily in Paris star Lucien Laviscount is being tipped to become the next James Bond, according to a new report.

The 30-year-old actor, who plays Alfie in the Netflix series, has grabbed the attention of 007 producer Barbara Broccoli and is now believed to be under consideration for the highly coveted part.

A source told the Daily Mail: “Lucien ticks all of the boxes. He is a super-talented actor, is extremely handsome, and in the past 18 months has won lots of new fans since he joined Emily In Paris.

“Bond bosses are already saying how you can see him in the 007 tuxedo, how dapper and fitting to the role he will look.”

The British star first appeared on TV screens back in 2007 on Grange Hill, before landing roles in Coronation Street and Waterloo Road.

He also appeared in 2011’s Celebrity Big Brother, before moving to Los Angeles to focus on his acting career.

There he landed roles in Ryan Murphy’s Scream Queens, the CW drama Katy Keene, and a series adaptation of Snatch. He most recently starred in the third series of Emily in Paris, playing the title character’s boyfriend.

The Standard has contacted representatives for Lavinscount and Broccoli for comment.

Last month, Aaron Taylor-Johnson emerged as a frontrunner, ahead of other names including former Superman star Henry Cavill, Bridgerton’s Regé-Jean Page, Tom Hardy, and Bafta-winner Chiwetel Ejiofor.

It’s the hottest part in Hollywood following Daniel Craig’s departure. The actor played the famous spy in five movies, from 2006’s Casino Royale until 2021’a No Time To Die.

It was reported in December that Taylor-Johnson had won over Broccoli, and had already filmed footage as James Bond for the series’ iconic 007 opening gun-barrel sequence.

The 32-year-old was said to have impressed in a secret audition for Broccoli at Pinewood Studios in November.

However, it is believed that Broccoli and fellow producer Michael G Wilson will be making a casting announcement in March, so watch this space.
