Emma Stone and Jonah Hill for Ghostbusters III?

Actors reportedly offered roles.

Emma Stone and Jonah Hill are two actors with a great sense of humour, so it's really no surprise that the pair have been rumoured to star in Ghostbusters III.

Schmoesknow.com reports that both Stone and Hill have been offered roles in Dan Aykroyd's longed-for threequel.

Nothing is known about the characters, named Anna and Jeremy respectively, but internet speculation suggests they may be the children of two of the original Ghostbusters team.

While no release date has yet been set for the film, scripted by Men In Black 3 writer Etan Cohen, Aykroyd hinted earlier this year that he hopes to start shooting in 2014.

He told ABC News in April: "I know that we’re expecting half of the screenplay to be completed very soon. It should be into production by the fall and be shooting by the New Year.’

The actor added: "It’s very exciting. The Higgs Boson and the particle theories, gluons and mesons, that really gives us a scientific base in terms of our fictional storytelling, to open up to another dimension and have something horrible coming through."

As it stands, Aykroyd's fellow original co-star Harold Ramis is on board but Bill Murray has declined to reprise the role of Peter Venkman. Rick Moranis, meanwhile, has been cautious saying: "It's got to be good" in June this year.
