Emma Stone sends gift to student who invited her to prom
Sadly, despite a rather involved invitation, world famous Oscar-winning actress couldn’t make it to high school student Jacob Staudenmaier’s prom.
You may recall that last month, Staudenmaier uploaded a video ‘promposal’ to YouTube, re-enacting the opening highway scene from her movie ‘La La Land’ in order to get noticed.
Check it out below…
And though Stone was busy, she still did right by Jacob for his efforts, sending him a button hole flower, or boutonniere, and a matching corsage to his date, Caitlin Teefy.

In a hand-penned note, she wrote: “Jacob, A little something for you and your lucky date tomorrow. Have a great time! Much love, Emma Stone.”

She’s a good egg.
The video soon went viral, with Jacob making it onto national TV to talk about the clip, which he made with help from his film teacher at Arcadia High School in Phoenix, Arizona, Stone’s home state.
Politely declining the offer at the time, she wrote back to him: “Jacob, thanks for making the greatest proposal I have ever received. I can’t tell you what an honor that was and how much I smiled through that entire beautifully orchestrated video. I’m in London working, but I hope you have the best time at prom, and I’m grateful you thought of me.
“Thank you. P.S. I do see Gosling around the eyes. Love, Emma.”
The clip has scored well over 1.25 million views.
