Emma Watson has revealed how she was stopped at JFK airport in New York after custom agents thought she was too young to be flying alone.

In a series of tweets, the 22-year-old Harry Potter star told of the confusion at passport control after she flew to New York over the Christmas holidays.

“Passport control: ‘Unaccompanied minor?’ Me: ‘Sorry?’” she tweeted. “Passport control: ‘Where is ur guardian?’ Me: ‘I’m 22!!!!!!’”

“Never wearing a backpack again,” she added, citing the possible cause of the issue.

“The really sad thing is that this is not the first time this has happened.”

Watson has very much grown up in the public eye.

The actress was just nine-years-old when she landed the role of Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films.
