Emma Watson has revealed the really rather embarrassing manner that she almost ruined every scene in the early days of the Harry Potter movies.

And in brilliantly Hermione-esque fashion, it was by learning everybody else’s lines as well as her own.

Yep, the nine-year-old Watson would memorise the scripts of co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint too, to make sure she was across the dialogue in its entirety and proving she was an incurable swot both on and off screen.

While appearing on Jimmy Kimmel promoting new movie ‘Beauty and the Beast’, Kimmel showed footage of her auditions with Radcliffe and Grint, spotting that she appears to be mouthing her co-stars lines throughout.

“You laugh, but this is actually quite traumatic for me,” she said.

“I created issues because of this. I would ruin takes!

“First [the directors] would be like, ‘Cut! Emma, you’re doing it again. You’re mouthing Dan’s lines’.

“And I’d be like, ‘Ooh! I’m so sorry! So sorry! Oh, I feel so bad!’

“I couldn’t help myself, it was like, I was such a loser. I really loved those books, I really wanted to do my job well, and I kind of overdid it.”

She likely had enough on her plate learning own lines and singing at the same time to learn everybody else’s in ‘Beauty and the Beast’.

It’s due out in the UK on March 17.
