Danny Miller is now a dad after welcoming a baby with his fiancé.

The Emmerdale actor announced that his partner Steph Jones had given birth to their first baby.

The couple both shared a sweet picture of the little one's hand holding their fingers, with a sign that reads 'Hello World'.

"I was lucky enough to find someone who shines bright enough to lead me out of the dark, but I never imagined to be lead to the brightest place imaginable, my baby," Danny captioned the picture.

Steph added: "I never realised the happiness a child brings you.

"Thank you @danny_b_miller for showing me true happiness and being the best support imaginable!"

He responded: "I am in absolute awe of you and our beautiful baby! Thank you for completing my life and I promise I'll look after you both and love you both forever."

Danny, who plays Aaron Dingle, admitted they had been struggling to conceive naturally, and had been considering IVF when they found out.

"It was unbelievable [finding out] because we'd been told it probably wasn't going to happen for us naturally, so we just feel so incredibly lucky," he said.

"We're very humbled by it as we know not everyone is as lucky."

Danny added their happy news would mean putting back their wedding plans a bit.

"I said we should delay it until they can walk, because it would be amazing if they could be stood up with me or walk down the aisle with Steph," he previously said.

"We've put it back, because of the little one, as we didn't expect we would have a baby so soon.

"We've always been a fan of getting married abroad and having the sun, sea and sand with us and both our families."

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
