Updated – June 6: It looks like Marvel star Chris Evans could be making it a regular thing to share his throwback photos now – and if they're all as great as this new one is, we're definitely not complaining.

A week after he shared a photo of himself looking like a "dickhead", the Captain America star has shared another '90s throwback photo with his followers, this time claiming he looks like an "asshole".

"Another headshot slam dunk during my late 90s quest to corner the 'asshole' market. #TBT," he captioned the photo.

Here's hoping next week brings another throwback gem.

Original – Avengers: Endgame star Chris Evans has shared a throwback photo of himself as a "dickhead".

The Captain America actor took to Twitter on Thursday (May 30) to share an image of his first-ever professional headshot, and it seems he doesn't look back on his sense of style too favourably.

He wrote alongside the image: "First headshot. Apparently I was hoping to be cast as a dickhead."

Of course, Evans has now relinquished the role of Captain America after Steve Rogers handed the shield to Falcon aka Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) at the end of Endgame.

Recently, Sebastian Stan, who plays Steve's best friend Bucky Barnes, spoke about Cap's decision not to pass the shield onto him instead, saying: "I think it makes a lot of sense".

"I'm happy with [the ending of Endgame]," the actor told Digital Spy and other press at MCM Comic Con in London.

"It's very different than the comic book. I really love the enthusiasm that some people felt in terms of propagating why didn't he get the shield. But it just doesn't make sense for him to get the shield.

"In a way for me, Steve not giving him the shield is his way of setting him free. And setting himself free, both of these guys are forever in a way tied to this duty and carrying this mantle that they both are free to some extent now."

Stan continued: "And Sam is a must more trustworthy character. I don't know how much we've really seen of Bucky’s mental evolution so far to really trust him with that responsibility. So I think for me it made a lot of sense."

Avengers: Endgame is out now.
