It was a big night for British and American music last night at the Brits, as Adele won three out of four of her nominations, Wolf Alice beat Little Mix to Group of the Year, and Silk Sonic aka Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak won Best International Group of the Year. Not to mention Anne-Marie's little tumble, and fans declaring she handled it like a boss.
But apart from Olivia Rodrigo pipping Billie Eilish to the post for Best International Song, (the singer went on to beat Olivia for Best International Artist though) British viewers were also obsessed with another detail that involved the 'Good 4 U' songstress.
It came as the 18-year-old was pulled up by hosts Mo Gilligan and Maya Jama for an interview, only for fans to be left in stitches by what happened next.
After Rodrigo sweetly explained "it's so nice to be around all these creative geniuses", and how she "feels so inspired," she was somewhat swiftly interrupted by Maya Jama changed the subject completely, suddenly asking Mo "We are at the bar, do you wanna do a little shot?"
And as Olivia sat shot-less next to the two, Twitter went wild, with viewers declaring the scene as an 'only in Britain moment.'

One account tweeted "the most British thing ever taking shots and the American just sits and watches #brits #brits2022" while another wrote "Olivia Rodrigo sitting awkwardly watching Mo Gilligan do a shot… where else would you see this #brits2022."

But let's face it, they're not wrong. We do love a cheeky shot every now and again, and whether it's at the Brits or at the pub, it looked like Maya's makeshift bar kept the party flowing all night long.
Maybe Olivia will be offered a shot at the 2025 Brits when she's of legal drinking age in the US? Who knows, but congrats on her wins regardless!
