It's pretty much accepted that it's the era of movie and TV reboots, so obviously the iconic TV show Sabrina the Teenage Witch is up for getting a MAJOR makeover. Netflix recently announced that it will be rebooting the classic - and it's not going to look anything like the '90s show you know and love.

The show is in early stages of development, so there aren't many details, but there is some info out there that you should definitely know about. Are you wondering which characters from the original show will return? Or maybe you're dying to know what Salem is going to look like?

Well, here's everything we know so far about this new take on the magical classic.

Is There a Poster Yet?

The show's latest poster features Kiernan Shipka with a birthday cake, signifying Sabrina's 16th birthday when everything will change for her. Check it out below!

The monster with the horns in the background might cause some trouble for Sabrina on the show. In fact, they kind of remind us of the ones featured in the new Riverdale poster. Hopefully, this means we'll get that a crossover might actually be happening!

Kiernan also revealed the first poster for the show on her Instagram. Fans will notice it features Sabrina's signature bob and Salem the cat.

Get excited!!! 😍🐱 #SalemTheCat

Will Salem the Cat be in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina?

Any fan of the original Sabrina the Teenage Witch remembers Salem, Sabrina's talking black cat. He was a hilarious addition to the cast and he was also really relatable:

So, will Salem be making his return in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina? Back in February, series creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa posted a pic of the new and improved Salem on Twitter. "Ladies and gentlemen, meet Greendale's latest resident," he wrote. "All hail, Salem!"

From the pic, it's hard to tell whether or not the new Salem is a real cat, or an animatronic puppet like the OG. Then, we got some more info when the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina twitter posted this creepy vid.

On top of that, apparently in this iteration Salem's a demon...

So, it seems like Salem will be a real cat, and he probably won't have the same wit as the old Salem, but then again, Chilling Adventures isn't going to be anything like the original family comedy.

Are there any specific episodes we should get excited about?

If you weren't afraid of this show just yet, you're about to be after finding out what series creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa has in store.

"Sabrina is the heroine in this series of mini-movies," he told Entertainment Weekly. "I love The Exorcist. It’s one of my favorite movies. We’re doing an homage to that; we’re doing an episode that’s like [The Exorcist]."

While he hasn't shared what exactly that means, it probably means someone is going to get possessed in Greendale. Will it be Harvey or someone else we don't know about yet? Guess we'll have to wait to find out.

Are there any pictures from Chilling Adventures of Sabrina?

Netflix just released the first photos from episodes 1 and 2 and they look absolutely spooky. The first photo features Sabrina exploring a nearby forest.

Also, the cast has been taking tons of photos behind-the-scenes! Here's Kiernan and Ross in character as Sabrina and Harvey. Do they look adorable, or what? I don't even want to think about all the dark forces trying to tear them apart.

There's this picture of Sabrina's iconic animal bestie, Salem.

The show's creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa also released some super cool (and super creepy) concept art.

When does Chilling Adventures of Sabrina premiere?

Production for the show started in March of 2018 and the cast have been busy filming ever since. Luckily, Netflix announced during the Television Critics Association press tour that the show will premiere just in time for Halloween.

The first season of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina will premiere on October 26 and will have 10 episodes.

Time for CAOS. Oct 26.

Netflix also hinted that strange things will be happening in Greendale saying, "time for chaos."

Showrunner Roberto Aguirre Sacasa also shared a cute pic featuring the casts of Riverdale and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina together and noted that fans will get a double dose of the Archie-verse thanks to their close release dates.

"And we have a drop date! 10/26! 2 weeks after #Riverdale Season 3 premieres, the Blood Moon rises over #Sabrina and the town of #Greendale! Only on #Netflix!," he wrote.

Hopefully this means we'll be getting that Riverdale/Chilling Adventures of Sabrina crossover that's been hinted at for a while.

Is Chilling Adventures of Sabrina a spinoff of Sabrina the Teenage Witch?

No. While both shows follow the same character, Sabrina Spellman, each one has a different plot. The 1996 ABC television show starring Melissa Joan Hart was based on the 1971 comic book, while Netflix's show is an adaptation of the rebooted comic book, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, that launched in 2014.

What is Chilling Adventures of Sabrina about?

According to Deadline, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is a dark reimagining of Sabrina Spellman's origin story. The show will be a coming-of-age story that has tons of horror, the occult and, and plenty of witchcraft (obviously). When the show begins, we'll find Sabrina wrestling with her dual nature as a half-witch, half-mortal girl while trying to take down the evil forces that threaten her, her family and the daylight world humans inhabit.

Who will star in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina?

Kiernan Shipka is Sabrina Spellman: Sabrina, an empowered young woman who is half-human and half-witch, begins her dark education as a sorceress, even as she tries to maintain a normal life as a sophomore at Baxter High. Intelligent, compassionate and brave to the point of recklessness, Sabrina is all that stands between humankind and the forces of darkness that threaten it.

Ross Lynch is Harvey Kinkle: The prince charming of this horror story, Harvey is the son of a coal miner. He's just as much a dreamboat as he is a dreamer - and he dreams about living happily ever after with Sabrina. But he's totally clueless about the dark forces conspiring to keep him and Sabrina apart.

Miranda Otto is Aunt Zelda: Zelda is Sabrina’s stern and tough aunt. A proud and devout witch, she believes there is no greater honor than serving the Dark Lord as a member of the Church of Night.

Lucy Davis as Aunt Hilda: The second of Sabrina's aunts is more nurturing than Zelda. Don't let her motherly nature and warm sense of humor fool you. She's got a serious wicked side and she can brew up spite jars against her family’s enemies just as quickly as she whips up love potions for the lovesick students at Baxter High. If Lucy Davis looks familiar, it's because she played Wonder Woman's trusty sidekick, Etta, in DC's Wonder Woman.

Tati Gabrielle is Prudence: A student at the Academy of Unseen Arts and the de facto leader of a trio of witches known as the Weird Sisters, beautiful and cunning Prudence nurses a deep, personal, and possibly life-threatening grudge against Sabrina.

Jaz Sinclair is Rosalind Walker: Paper Towns alum Jaz Sinclaire will play Sabrina's empowered and outspoken bestie and the daughter of Greendale’s minister.

Chance Perdomo is Ambrose Spellman: Ambrose is Sabrina’s warlock cousin from England. He's under house arrest by the Witches Council, which means he's forbidden from leaving the funeral home where he lives with the Spellman women. Witty, puckish and pan-sexual, he is one of Sabrina’s partners in crime, and always up for some mischief.

Michelle Gomez is Mary Wardell: Sabrina’s favorite teacher and mentor at Baxter High who becomes possessed by the devil’s handmaiden, Madam Satan, and instantly turns into a sultry, cunning manipulator, dead set on luring Sabrina down the Path of Night.

Bronson Pinchot is George Hawthorne: George is Baxter High’s villainous, Puritanical principal. He is a constant thorn in Sabrina’s side, always trying to thwart her and the gang's escapades.

Gavin Leatherwood is Nicholas Scratch: According to Just Jared Jr., Nicholas is a warlock at the Academy of Unseen Arts, who is immediately attracted to Sabrina as the new student. Although their relationship status is unclear, the site says there will be sparks! Showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, who you probably know from Riverdale, recently shared an Instagram pic of Gavin, along with his costars, Ross and Chance.

Tableread for Ep #9 of #Sabrina yesterday with these chaps, tableread for Ep #36 (!!) with #Riverdale tomorrow!” he wrote. “Good times in Greendale/Riverdale!”

Will Ross Lynch still have his blonde hair?

Despite the fact that Harvey Kinkle is actually blonde in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina comic book, it looks like the show will be going back to its original comic book roots since Ross Lynch appears to have dyed his hair brown for the role. He teased the new look on Instagram stories last week.

But apparently, he was still just in talks to play Harvey at the time, because a short time later, he was back to blonde.

But new pics show Ross strolling around The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina set in Vancouver, Canada with some seriously brown hair. So looks like bagging the role of Harvey was all he needed to make the permanent switch! Doesn't he looks awesome with darker hair?!

How does Melissa Joan Hart feel about Chilling Adventures of Sabrina?

Melissa Joan Hart originated the role of Sabrina Spellman in 1996 and played her for seven years, so obviously she's pretty close to the role. So, how does she feel about the creative new reboot? Well, she thinks it's nothing like the classic - because it isn't.

"I think our show was about magic and family, and I think the new one - it sounds like, I have no idea - but the new one is going to be more about witchcraft, dark stuffm" Melissa told Entertainment Weekly.

"I think it sounds more Buffy the Vampire Slayer than it does Sabrina, so I think it will appeal to a different kind of audience and be a totally different show."
