Ewan McGregor snubs Piers Morgan Good Morning Britain interview over Women's March comments
Ewan McGregor was all set for an appearance on ‘Good Morning Britain’ today to promote new movie ‘T2: Trainspotting’, but looks to have cancelled it at the last minute when he discovered Piers Morgan is the show’s host.
Taking to Twitter, he said:
Was going on Good Morning Britain, didn't realise @piersmorgan was host. Won't go on with him after his comments about #WomensMarch
— Ewan McGregor (@mcgregor_ewan) January 24, 2017
Morgan, who has frequently shown his support for Donald Trump, caused controversy after tweeting: “I’m planning a ‘Men’s March’ to protest at the creeping global emasculation of my gender by rabid feminists. Who’s with me?”
I'm planning a 'Men's March' to protest at the creeping global emasculation of my gender by rabid feminists. Who's with me?

He then hit back at McGregor’s tweet:
Sorry to hear that @mcgregor_ewan – you should be big enough to allow people different political opinions. You're just an actor after all.
— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) January 24, 2017
Some of McGregor’s followers appeared to agree with the move.
@mcgregor_ewan @womensmarchlon thank you. @itv @GMB take note. This is what integrity looks like.

@mcgregor_ewan top man! Good to see people stand up to this hateful swing to the far right in the US and UK.

Some, rather less so…
@mcgregor_ewan @piersmorgan why not? challenge people, challenge their views and present coherent arguments why they are wrong #standup

@mcgregor_ewan @piersmorgan pathetic. You're supposed to be a grown man, act like one
— jenny (@JennyMolloy74) January 24, 2017
@mcgregor_ewan @piersmorgan Maybe act like an adult and challenge his ideas?
