Fake ‘War Hero’ Is Busted Due To His Terrible Photoshop Skills

A fake ‘war hero’ who posted a doctored picture of himself receiving a medal has been busted due his awful Photoshop skills.

Dave Harper claimed that the image showed himself receiving a medal - but people noticed there was something a little ‘off’ about the beret.

Harper said on Facebook, ‘Some old photo’s I found in old envelope. Most of my belongings where destroyed when my Aunts house was burned very badly. I had forgotten about them.’

‘Never used to wear my beret like that normally, I look retarded’.

The fakery was exposed by the Walter Mitty Hunters Club, who expose fake war heroes on Facebook - after Dave Harper posted the image claiming it showed him in 1969.

Member Mark Breen said: ‘That is hilarious – beret shaped with a spirit level.’

Members also pointed out that Harper claimed the medal was from Northern Ireland - whereas the doctored picture shows a medal from Afghanistan from 2012.

Fellow Walter Mitty hunter Mark McKendry wrote: ‘A blind man could have made a better job of that photoshop.’

Since being exposed, Harper has made his Facebook page private.
