Fallout's Ella Purnell lands next lead movie role in horror-comedy about killer squirrels
Fallout star Ella Purnell has landed the lead role in new horror-comedy movie The Scurry.
The actor, also known for portraying Jackie Taylor in Yellowjackets, will play a parking attendant who is forced to tackle a band of killer squirrels (via Screendaily).
The Lazarus Project actor Paapa Essiedu and Rhys Ifans of House of the Dragon and Notting Hill fame make up the supporting cast, alongside Lovesick's Antonia Thomas.
Fellow House of the Dragon star Olivia Cooke and How to Have Sex's Mia McKenna-Bruce were previously attached to the project, but have now pulled out due to scheduling conflicts.

The Scurry follows two pest controllers called to a country park café to investigate a number of recent vermin issues. However as night falls, they find themselves up against an avalanche of deadly squirrels hellbent on wreaking havoc on the park's staff and visitors.
Filming has begun on the movie, shooting on location at Dragon Studios in South Wales.
The Scurry is the fourth film from actor and director Craig Roberts, known for his roles in Submarine and Being Human. Roberts will reunite with Ifans in the killer rodent feature, with the two having previously worked together on his 2021 film The Phantom Of The Open.

Executive producer James Scott of Circus Studios shared his excitement at Purnell heading up the movie. "Fallout is the biggest show on the planet right now," he says.
"So, to have the lead actress join our squirrel movie is incredibly exciting for the production team and our worldwide distribution partners."
Writer Tim Telling has penned the script for The Scurry, best known for his work on the Nish Kumar-fronted The Mash Report.
There are currently no details of a release date for The Scurry.
